the "Club France Europe" have organised a series of events in the first half of 2009 with a focus on the development of nuclear energy in Europe and its consequences.

2009-02-11 - First Lunch debate : "The situation of nuclear energy after the adoption of the Energy/Climate package and its position in EU’s energy mix"
2009-02-11 - Second lunch debate : "The economic impact that may result from the development of nuclear energy in Europe, and the ecologic effects within the context of global warming"
2009-03-18 - Third lunch debate : "Nuclear power and international cooperation – the role of the European Union in the worldwide revival of nuclear power"
2009-04-16 - Fourth and last lunch debate : "What are the prospects for joint action in the EU?"
"L’Option de Confrontations Europe" n°28 on "NUCLEAR POWER: the need for a new political impetus in Europe" , has been published in November 2009, analysing thoses lunch-debates (in French and in English).
