I am very proud of the fact that you, both individually and together, have done more than what was in your power to show to the international public and the Austrian and Bosnian Governments the unlawful conduct of the Austrian judicial authorities. It was despite the fact that there are no investigation proceedings against me in Den Haag nor is there a "red notice" issued against me by Interpol for the Dobrovoljacka Street case; thanks to the BBC and BH Television footage it is evident to thousands of Europeans that I commanded "Do not shoot". The more prolonged the process became the greater became your efforts directed toward the Governments of France and Austria, and the Council of Europe, whilst knowing that Austrian judiciary, as any other in Europe, is impervious to political influence and any kind of pressure.
I was in contact with some of you almost daily, so please forgive me for not mentioning specifically those individuals and organizations whose activity was more frequent. My dear friends, if you could only imagine how much your support, direct or indirect, through e-mails, text messages, phone and Skype, meant to me. It was what enabled me to receive the Court's decision to deny Serbian Prosecutor's request in good spirit. Until now, I never felt that I belonged to the human race, that I was respected and appreciated. I feel immensely proud of your friendship lasting from 3 March until my return to Sarajevo on 29 July. My answer to your question - "How are you?" was always - "Fantastic", because I was certain that, thanks to your care, your actions in order to simplify my every-day life, your struggle for a positive resolution of my case, I would arrive in Sarajevo, a city in which I reached the pinnacle of my familial, professional and spiritual life. Vienna is an episode in my life, while you remain my friends through any kind of good and evil.
I am a happy man because I belong to you as you belong to me. Thank you. Let love for the other be our motto in life.
