This seminar will cover issues from an off-site perspective, such as the fundamentals of radiation and standards for radiation protection past and present. In particular, the seminar will assess the evolution of the radiological situation around the accident site in Fukushima-Daiichi, TMI and Chernobyl. Based on the feedback from Chernobyl, we will discuss the long-term impact of the Fukushima accident with regard to public health and the environment.
